Bolelli/Vavassori eliminati nei quarti a Monte-Carlo
Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori’s run ended in the quarterfinals of the doubles draw at the “Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters,” the third “1000” event of the season with a prize fund of 5,950,575 euros, taking place on the red clay of the Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco.
The Italian duo, after defeating Frenchman Rinderknech and Monegasque Vacherot in the first round with a wildcard entry and repeating the success against Argentineans Gonzalez and Molteni, the eighth-seeded pair, succumbed to a 63 76(4) defeat in an hour and 24 minutes to the team of Salvadoran Marcelo Arevalo and Croatian Mate Pavic, who had earlier knocked out the top-seeded Indian Rohan Bopanna and Australian Matthew Ebden.
