L’ammirazione di Guardiola per De Zerbi “cresce”

Pep Guardiola says his admiration for Roberto De Zerbi is growing as Brighton have faced numerous injuries this season, but their playing style remains consistent.

Guardiola expressed his respect for De Zerbi, the former Sassuolo boss, during a pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League match against Brighton.

“It’s no secret that my admiration for him grows every season,” Guardiola stated, as reported by the BBC.

Despite facing challenges such as player sales and injuries, De Zerbi has maintained Brighton’s distinctive playing style across multiple competitions. Guardiola commended De Zerbi for his remarkable job at Brighton.

Currently in 11th place in the Premier League, Brighton has little chance of qualifying for European competition. However, De Zerbi’s leadership has led the team to historic success, including their first-ever Europa League qualification.

Since his appointment at Brighton in September 2022, De Zerbi has achieved 37 wins, 19 draws, and 27 losses out of 83 matches.
